3. How We Use Your Information and Legal Basis
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with similar rules, we rely on one of the following legal bases under the GDPR (Article 6) or equivalent law:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Operate the App and serve match content | Legitimate interest in providing the service you requested |
| Firebase Analytics (audience insights) | Consent |
| Crashlytics (stability monitoring) | Legitimate interest in keeping the App reliable |
| Personalized advertising via AdMob | Consent |
| Non-personalized advertising via AdMob | Legitimate interest in supporting a free App |
| Push notifications (match reminders) | Consent (you opt in) |
| Install attribution via Facebook SDK | Consent |
| Responding to support / DMCA / privacy requests | Legitimate interest and legal obligation |
In the EEA / UK, advertising and analytics are disabled until you provide consent through our in-app consent prompt (Google User Messaging Platform, TCF v2.2). You can withdraw consent at any time from the App's settings.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party providers. Each one acts as an independent data controller or processor under its own privacy terms:
| Provider | Purpose | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Hosting, Firestore, Cloud Functions) | App infrastructure, analytics, push delivery | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Serving ads inside the App | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Meta Platforms (Facebook SDK) | Install attribution for our marketing campaigns | facebook.com/about/privacy |
| API-Football (api-football.com) | Server-side fixture, score, and broadcaster data | api-football.com/privacy-policy |
| Google Gemini (Generative AI) | Server-side, operator-facing suggestions of broadcaster information; no end-user data is sent to Gemini | ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms |
| Hostinger | Hosting of this website and email forwarders for our public addresses | hostinger.com/privacy-policy |
5. International Data Transfers
We are based in Brazil. Most of the providers listed above process data in the United States, the European Union, or other countries. Where personal data of EEA / UK residents is transferred outside those regions, the providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or equivalent safeguards. You can review each provider's transfer mechanism via the references in Section 4.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above, and according to provider defaults:
- Firebase Analytics: up to 14 months from the event date.
- Crashlytics crash logs: 90 days.
- AdMob advertising identifiers: up to 26 months.
- Push notification token: stored as long as the App is installed and notifications are enabled. Revoked on opt-out or uninstall.
- Locally stored preferences (favorites, settings): kept on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
- Support / privacy correspondence: up to 24 months, then deleted.
7. Your Rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave (without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing);
- Request a portable copy of your data;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Brazil this is the ANPD; in the EU it is your national supervisory authority.
How to exercise these rights: open the App's Settings › Privacy screen and tap "Copy my data IDs". Then send an email to privacy@livematchpro.app from any address, including those IDs and the action you would like us to take. We respond within 30 days, and usually faster.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you reside in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA:
- The right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with — covered by Sections 2, 3, and 4 above.
- The right to delete personal information — see Section 7.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We treat use of the AAID by AdMob for personalized ads as a "share" under CCPA. You can opt out by tapping "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the App's Settings › Privacy screen, or by writing to privacy@livematchpro.app. We will switch your session to non-personalized advertising and enable Meta Limited Data Use (LDU).
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
9. Brazilian Privacy Rights (LGPD)
If you reside in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Protecao de Dados (Law 13.709/2018) gives you rights equivalent to those in Section 7 above, plus the right to information about public and private entities with which we have shared your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@livematchpro.app.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 in the United States, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below those ages. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact privacy@livematchpro.app and we will delete it.
11. Trademark and Logo Disclaimer
All team logos, league logos, broadcaster logos, stadium imagery, and other graphic elements displayed in the App are the property of their respective owners. LiveMatch Pro does not claim ownership and uses these images solely for identification and informational purposes under fair use and equivalent doctrines. If you are a rights holder and wish for your content to be removed, contact dmca@livematchpro.app. We acknowledge valid takedown notices within 24 hours and remove infringing content within 48 hours of receiving them.
12. Security
We rely on industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) for all data exchanged with our backend and third-party providers, and Firebase Security Rules to restrict who can read or write each record. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the App after a change indicates that you accept the revised Policy. If you do not agree, you may uninstall the App at any time.
